Use the Practice Information window in the Configure menu to enter and maintain various practice details, and to register EXACT modules.

IMPORTANT: Complete as many details as possible - information entered here is used in other places in EXACT and is automatically defaulted in templates, saving you having to re-enter the details when creating letters and email messages.

To access the Practice Information window

Select Your practice information will of been entered as part of your setup. If our practice details change these can be updated in EXACT.

Updating the practice information will update it for all documents where you have used these merge fields, saving you having to update the details for each letter/email templates.

To update Practice Information select Configure > Practice Information to display the window:

Update your Practice Information and click Ok.

Practice Name cannot be changed by users and must be changed by our support team. You will need to notify Finance of any Practice Name change which you can do by emailing accounts@soeuk.com. A support member will then be in touch to change the Practice Name for you.

If locations are enabled you will have 2 options

  • Use practice name for report titles

  • Use login

  • Location for report titles

(may display) If locations are enabled in Practice Settings, these two options are displayed, otherwise they will not be present.

They give you the choice of your report titles including either the practice name, or the location name.

Practice ABN

Enter the Practice Australian Business Number (ABN) - this is different to the Provider ABN that is entered per Provider for tax purposes.

This image displays when you start EXACT, on the background screen of EXACT, and on letterheads and email messages.

Practice ID

This is a unique identifier for your dental practice.

Features that require a Practice ID:

Your dental practice must have a valid and unique Practice ID as a requirement for Online Appointment Bookings, so that it can be identified in Online Recalls.

Your dental practice seamless login to the Software of Excellence User Portal (Software of Excellence User Portal, http://portal.softwareofexcellence.com) functions on the Practice ID. Without a Practice ID entered in this field, when you click a portal link you will be directed to SOE Support to enable the link. SOE Support will simply enter a number in the Practice ID field and Save the screen to enable your access.

From v12.6 EXACT has a Real Data Check safety mechanism to prevent patients receiving two versions of automated SMS, Email and Easypost communications. To be considered Real Data, a dataset must have a valid Practice ID and that Practice ID must be unique.

SMS Replies messaging requires a configured Practice ID in order to validate your practice.

This allow you to have different Practice names on your documents depending on which one you chose on login.

To update your Practice Image click on browse, find a locally stored image and click Ok.

Practice ID can only be edited by out Support Team. The Practice ID is your practice reference our Software of Excellence team will ask you for.
