If you need to find out Patient Lists (Contact lists) are used for finding patients matching a number of customisable search criteria. It can also be used to find the number of your patients matching a certain criteria, create a list of patients and potentially contact them then you will need to know how to create a contact list.

To begin to create a contact go to Administration->Contact Lists

Click on Create List and then on the query selection option.

You can choose from a previously created query by highlighting it and clicking Ok.

You may need to edit an existing query or Create a new one. This is covered on this page here

Once your desired Query has been selected click Ok. You may at this point be prompted by your query for data, once done it will begin creating the list.

Access Patient Lists by navigating to Administration - Patient Lists (Contact Lists).
This is located in the same area as the original contact list menu, click here to view this menu.

or via the workspace icon.

Two options are available:

  • View Saved Lists

  • Create New List

 View Saved Lists

This will display a selection of previously run lists with the option to Open ListRefresh List or Create New List.

Open List

This will open the selected list (highlighted by a blue line in the main area of the screen), displaying the list of patients.

Refresh List

This option will create an updated version of the selected list (highlighted by a blue line in the main area of the screen) and be prompted to confirm the list you wish to refresh.

You will then be prompted to confirm the parameters to create the list giving you the option to change any dates and/or confirm any of the criteria for the chosen list. Once all parameters are confirmed select Finish to create the list. 

Create New List

This option can be accessed from the Administation menu or from View Saved Lists window.

This allows you to create an entirely new list.

In this window, click the Select the Query Template icon.

From this point you can choose to use an existing query from the list or create a query. These are created using the original Contact List steps, view the article; Creating and Editing Queries for assistance with this.
