Dental practices can benefit from the ability to view and report on the patients who have cancelled appointments, and the reasons that have been selected for cancellation.

With a contact list query you can list patients who match the condition Cancelled appointment with reason:

To create a contact list with appointment cancellations by Reason

  1. Select Administration > Contact Lists.In the List Contact Lists screen, click Create List., then “Create List” in the bottom right

  2. In the Create Contact List window click the Select a Query Template (or CTRL-L).

  3. In the View Query Templates window click +1.

  4. In the Add Query Template window, click the Insert button (or CTRL-I).

  5. In the Select Condition window scroll to and select the condition Cancelled Appointment then select the date range that the cancelled appointments fall into

  6. Click the Insert button (or CTRL-I) again and then select Cancelled Appointment with Reason. then Click OK.

  7. In the Edit Patient Selection window, select the View button for Cancellation Reasons:

    The View cancellation reasons lists the reasons that have been created for the practice.

  8. Select a Cancellation Reason from the View cancellation Reasons window.

  9. Select the Cancellation Reason then Click OK. Specify any other parameters as if necessary.

  10. Click OK to return to the the Add Query Template window, with your condition/s selected.

  11. Type a Description (if you didn't earlier), add any further patient selections and arrange them with AND / OR logic

  12. Click OK to return to the View Query templates window, where you will see the new template highlighted:

  13. Click OK to return to the Create Contact Lists screen., and OK again.

    You will see feedback on how many patients meet the conditions of the query and click “Yes” to create/save the list. To create an updated version of the list, re-run the search query .

When creating Contact List you will then be able to select this from the View Query Templates window::
