Adding the New ADA Codes

There are 31 new item codes to be added to your EXACT database. You will need to add them manually one by one. Please follow these steps per item code.

Go to Configure > Services.

Click the +1 button.

Enter the Service Code (Identical to the ADA code) and Description.

Some ADA descriptions can be quite long, causing overlap on printed invoices and estimates. You may wish to shorten some lengthier descriptions.

For example:

Before: Procedures to derive biologically active components from a collection of blood.

After: Procedure to derive bio. active components from a blood collection.

Where applicable, select a Chart Graphic.

Chart graphics inform the way an item will appear when charted. They are appropriate for treatments that add something to a tooth, such as fillings, crowns, implants, etc, but unnecessary for services (exams, adjustments, stages of surgery, diagnostics, cleans, etc).

Set the Fee and the ADA code. Remember to use Price 2 (Default).

Link the code to a Charting Category. This will ensure it can be found in the Service list when charting.

Update the Payor Code field with the ADA Code

Optional: Link the code to an Appointment Category and an Appointment Length. This will make treatment planning quicker, and ensure the correct colour will appear when booking treatment plan appointments.

Once you are done, remember to click the OK button.
