How To Install A Specific (Older) EXACT Version

Before proceeding: If you are looking to upgrade to the latest version of EXACT please upgrade as normal via the Portal. See https://soeidental.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHS/pages/320307527 for more details.

If you need to install a specific EXACT Server version older than the currently available build, follow the below instructions from the server computer.

1- Click Here to Download the Web installer. This should be called “Exact Web Installer [GA Ring 1].exe”
Remove any trailing Brackets etc if needed. It should look like the below.

2 - Save this in an easily accessible location like C:\SOEUK (create a new folder if needed)
3 - Open Command Prompt (CMD) as Admin and type CD then the path to the web installer and press Enter
i.e CD C:\SOEUK
4 - Type (including the quotation marks) the command from the build list further down this article
To find out what version your EXACT data is on locate the EXACT data folder and find the .TXT file usually immediately after the folders. (ignoring the middle number, usually “1”)

i.e “Exact Web Installer [GA Ring 1].exe" install -v 13.237.389.1”

If you find CMD gives an error saying it doesn’t recognise '“EXACT' as a command (as below), try manually removing and re-adding in the double-quotation marks “ on the target PC.

5. Once Chocolatey has finished downloading it will launch the installer. If you need the location of the Install files they typically download to C:\Users\**USER**\AppData\Local\Temp\chocolatey

The version numbers when used this way emit the middle number.
I.e The database below shows as being on version 13.237.1.389.1 but when using the command to download a build the middle “1” will be emitted = “Exact Web Installer [GA Ring 1].exe" install -v 13.237.389.1”
