How to Setup your @NHS.net Email account Within EXACT

Note

POP3 - (ports 995 or 110) Using POP3 is likely to pull every existing email into EXACT and will remove them from everywhere else you’d usually see them, these can not be retrieved!
IMAP - (Ports 993 or 143) This option will retain a copy of the emails on the mail server so you can continue viewing existing and new emails external to EXACT (i.e Outlook, online).
Please Note: EXACT after receiving emails via IMAP may mark the emails as “read” on the mail server.

Update 1st November 2021: NHS.Net have changed their mail servers and are now using outlook.office365.com, advised the practice to use this in both their inbound and outbound email parameters.

Update May 2021: Some NHS email users have found using poplegacy.nhs.net is required as the incoming mail server (Hostname) if using POP settings

3. If you see “Test Successful” click “Next” until you eventually click “finish” and your new details are saved.


If this fails the test. Please login to the NHS Web Mail, this will allow you to confirm that the password is correct.  


If the test continues to fail please make sure you have a copy of the confirmation email from the NHS regarding the account now being an “Application Account” and contact the SOE Support team for assistance either by phoneor at support@soeuk.com
