 Adding the Arrivals Tab to your Appointment Book
  1. Go to File->Appointments and click on the appointment book you are using

  2. Click on the spanner in the bottom right.

  3. Tick ‘Select which tabs for your activity bar’ and click Next

  4. Click Next again.

  5. Highlight Arrivals on the left side and click on the >> button to move to the right.

  6. Click Finish

This tab displays a list of all the patients due in the practice today, in order of time rather than by provider.

Family members are listed individually:

Use this list to:

·         Easily mark patients as arrived, so that all the patients due to arrive at about the same time will be grouped together no matter which provider they are booked with. For larger practices this will make this process simpler as they do not need to identify which provider the patient is booked with before marking them as arrived.

·         Mark families as having arrived, as the names of family members booked into an appointment will be listed individually.

·         Quickly access the Patient File or Edit Appointment windows when the patient arrives, if required.

·         Easily identify patients who have failed to appear. These patients will remain in the arrivals list for the specified day, as they will not have been marked as ‘arrived’.
(This information is also available from the Cancels tab for those appointments whose status has been changed to Failed.)

·         Call to confirm patients’ appointments for a future date, updating the status box with the Handset icon and/or the three telephone icons depending on practice procedures.
To do this, either alter the date in the date field (highlight the date, overtype with the required date, then press the key) or use the arrows to change the date.

·         If the appropriate software is installed, the selected patient can be called directly by clicking on a Phone Tool button to automatically phone the patient.
