To save time entering clinical notes manually, preset clinical notes can be added via the Quick Note feature.
These can be filtered by Types. i.e EXAM notes, HYG notes or even use the types to separate per providers.

Creating Quick Notes

  1. In the Chart Tab, click the Note button to open the Add Clinical Note window (or double click any service already charted)

  2. Select the [+1] button from the right hand side to open the Add Quick Note window:

  3. In the Add Quick Note window type a Description and enter the Notes in the Notes field.

  4. Select or Create a Type. (Optional)

Why Types? With a patient in the clinic, you'll want to use Quick Notes in a hurry, and in a long list of Quick Notes they are quicker to locate when grouped by Type.

Select the [+1] button while in the list of Types window to add a new Note Type.

Using Quick Notes

  1. Double Click the already charted service item you wish to add the Quick Note to.

  2. The Quick Notes are listed in the right pane.
If you want to see them all, delete and text in the Type filter and press TAB to refresh and show all Quick Notes.
Double click the Quick Note you wish to use or highlight it and click the << Arrows to populate the Quick Note text into the Note box. The text cursor determines where the Quick Note text will be entered.
You can type before or after adding Quick Notes as much as you like and can also add multiple Quick Notes if required.

  3. If you've created Types, first select the appropriate Type to display a subset of Quick Notes from which to select. Repeat as necessary until you've constructed your Clinical Note.

  4. Optionally tick the [ ] Send straight to History checkbox.

Purpose: Sending straight to History bypasses the Note's display in the treatment planning / course of treatment area. You can see it listed in History by clicking the [ H ] History button. The Note remains editable in History up until midnight of the current day.

If you do not tick this checkbox, the Note will list in the treatment plan / course of treatment area. From there you still have the option to tick it, right-click and select [ ] Send Completed to History.

  5. Select a Provider if this has not auto-filled and Click OK.
