Amending Your Patient Portal Templates

If you’d like to change the wording and such of the templates you send to patients with the Portal link you can do so by following the below steps:
These steps aren’t specific to editing Patient Portal templates, so if you’d like to amend your other email/SMS templates by doing this then feel free to do so!
The above example shows how to change the wording of a Patient Portal email template; you can do the same for editing your SMS templates as well.
With the email templates you can add as much wording as you like but with the SMS templates be careful they don’t go over 160 characters. You can test how many characters it’ll have by attempting to send the template to a test patient file and viewing the amount of characters are in the preview.
If it goes over 160 characters you’ll either have to cut down the wording or truncate the SMS template to 2 or more SMSs and that’ll be however many comes out of your SMS package.
