Setting up an EXACT network backup via EXACT scheduler

To setup a network backup to trigger on a specific day & time via Exact scheduler:

Please note that the computer needs to remain logged in for this to trigger which is why we’d recommend using windows task scheduler to set this up instead. See: Setting up an Exact network backup via Windows task scheduler

1. Log in and set up the network backup as explained in How to set up the EXACT network backup and exit and click yes to confirm it begins to run through as expected

2. Then log back in and go to File, Scheduler.

3. Then Create new event

4. Select Other, Network Backup
   
   

   Open

   

5. Then select the start date, the time it starts and which days you wish it to run and then click finish

Please note: the location you are backing up to will need windows permissions to write to the folder, if you have any errors regarding this please do the following:

1. Right click the backup folder (i.e C:\DataBkup) and go to “properties”

2. Then on the security tab click “edit”, highlight “users” and tick the full control box to make sure all windows users can read/write to that folder.
