How to measure in Examine Pro

Start by ensuring you have enabled the annotation window, do this by clicking the pencil and paper icon highlighted below, when activated the icon will be a dark green colour.

Navigate to the right hand side of the Examine Pro window and you will find the annotation tools, the measurements tools are located in the “Annot. & Measure” tab under the “Measure” sub tab.

Select the measurement tool you wish to use, such as the line tool. Navigate to the image you wish to measure, your cursor should become a cross icon, click once to start the line and a second time to finish the line. You can always move or resize the line after it has been created by clicking and dragging on it or using the white squares at each end to resize.

If you wish to delete a measurement, highlight the line you wish to delete and press the delete key on your keyboard, alternatively to delete all measurements on an image press the “Delete All” button within the annotation window.

Annotations will only show when the annotation button is activated, they are hidden otherwise. You call tell if an image has annotations by the green marker shown on it in the image library.

Please note that only images developed within Examine Pro are measurable, if you have imported an image for example you will not be able to measure it.
