Creating/Editing Letter Templates

Letter templates allow for easy letter creation and with Presentation Manager allows you add merge fields, Tooth Charts, COTs, X-ray and education images.

To access letter templates bring up any patient file and click on the Create a Patient document button

This will open the Document Details window:

If you wish to edit an existing template hover the template and click on the e|d button or you can click +1 to create a new template.

If you choose the edit an existing template the letter will open and you can begin editing the template.

If you choose to create a new template then the Create Template window will open.

From here you can give the new template a name and on the left hand side you can base it on an existing template you already have. We suggest using an existing template as a base and tweak it after but you can also choose not to select a template and start with a blank document.

Clicking Create template will open the template ready to edit.

If you have Presentation Manager you will be able to assign it a category using the Category option at the top, clicking +1 will add a new category. The cateogry can always be changed at a later time.

There is also an Import Templates option which can be used to find a word documents and import it into EXACT ready for editing. Clicking on Import Templates will open the windows browser, find the file location and click Open to import the template.

Templates are in the form of word documents and can be edited like any document, however if you have Presentation Manager enabled you will have extra options like pulling in information from charting or Examine Pro into your templates. These are covered in other articles.
